Researching human performance

  Dr. Candace Hatcher-Solis is a 711th Human Performance Wing research biological scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory and the team lead for Neurobiology of Cognitive Performance. Her research interests include neuromodulation and biomarker discovery for cognitive enhancement and stress resilience.


  “There are so many different environments Airmen are in. You have the arctic environment with extreme cold to dry, desert heat. You have Airmen in high-performance aircraft. All these different environments can have effects on the body, so there’s a lot of research that needs to be done, and is ongoing, to sustain and enhance performance for all Airmen.”
