Aspiring to New Heights

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Gideon Connelly, 175th Wing, Maryland Air National Guard, chaplain assistant, poses for a portrait during an Adaptive Sports Camp in Crested Butte, Colorado. Connelly decided to have his left leg amputated after a motorcycle accident in 2011, but he didn't let it stop him from competing in sports. The camp was designed to provide encouragement to military veterans with post traumatic stress disorder, amputations and other injuries through outdoor sporting events.
