Digital Imagery Milestones
A chart, constructed by Daniel LeMaster, technical advisor for the Electro-optical Target Detection and Surveillance Branch at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio, shows the 10 milestones in the development of digital imagery since 1957. LeMaster predicted the exponential curve of future developments will double 13 more times by 2087. (U.S. Air Force photo/J.M. Eddins Jr.)
