Capt. Bryon Kroger, who is stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is photographed in the offices of Kessel Run, an agile Air Force software development program in Boston, where he spent the last two years launching the program with help from the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental, and serving as the chief operating officer running the day-to-day operations. Kessel Run teams Air Force coders and procurement officers with private industry to employ innovative techniques to develop software solutions for the warfighter in weeks and months instead of years.
