MAFFS Activates

Ground personnel offload fire retardant chemicals on the flightline of the 146th Airlift Wing at Channel Islands Air National Guard Base in Port Hueneme, California, Dec. 10, 2017. Numerous flatbed tractor-trailers arrived each day with the dry chemicals which crews mixed with water and then pumped into the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting Systems carried by the C-130Js.
