Arctic Survival "Cool School"

U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Evan Wells, 37th Helicopter Squadron, UH-1N Huey pilot, changes socks during arctic survival training to prevent hypothermia and soggy boots. During the training, students learned the basic principles of retrieving food, creating water and building shelter. The course is five days in duration with instruction in familiarization with the arctic environment, medical, personal protection, sustenance and signaling. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
